danielle dalton's work modulates in time to the fluctuations of popular culture. for better or worse, she embodies everything that is fleeting, weightless and instantaneous about culture in our era. her work is only incidentally about photography. it is a reflection of herself, and her time and place, which is thrown haphazardly, aggressively, into a gallery context which would feel much safer if no one acknowledged its growing irrelevance.
