Sometimes is a collection of photographs that were taken over the past year, presented in the form of a book. I began this body of work in the summer of 2012 and it continues to grow today, with no particular end date in mind. These photographs are documents of the places and objects that are most familiar to me, the people I share the closest relationships with, and the ordinary experiences that I curiously find important. Many of these images evoke particular words or phrases, which I have chosen to express as text within the book. Some of the words and photographs provide more contextual information for the viewer than others, but ultimately the work serves to fulfill my inclination to archive and to satisfy my nostalgic tendencies. Essentially, Sometimes is a sort of compilation or visual journal that allows me to reflect and make sense of the things I have chosen to remember and contemplate those that I have chosen to overlook.
